Asking for your support as the year ends

As 2024 ends, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and engagement in our vibrant art community. This year has been a remarkable journey of creativity and connection, and it wouldn’t have been possible without you.

Our classes have flourished, with over 400 participants engaging in a diverse array of artistic opportunities. We’ve showcased sensational gallery exhibits and hosted successful community events that celebrate the incredible talent in our small valley.

Our youth education program has expanded to several locations, including some Scotts Valley schools. Through grassroots fundraising, we have been able to give almost $10,000 in youth scholarships, helping to nurture the next generation of artists.

At the same time we continue to face concrete challenges—and this is where we are asking for your consideration. With more youth art classes comes an increased need for scholarships for disadvantaged youth. By reaching out now for your support, we hope to build a scholarship fund of $4,000 for the first semester of 2025.

The costs of maintaining our facility have also increased substantially in recent years.

This summer the Art Center replaced the roof over our ceramics area. This necessary repair cost us $10,700. To date, we have received just over $2,100 towards paying for it. We are in need of more generous donations to pay this off.

With all this in mind, we invite you to consider a donation to the Art Center to help us reach these goals. Your support, whether through financial contributions or volunteering, drives our mission and allows us to continue making a meaningful impact.

You can donate online by using the donation form on this page, or by mailing a check to: SCMAC, 9341 Mill Street, Ben Lomond, CA 95005.

Thank you for your ongoing support of the Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center. Together, we can continue to nurture creativity and foster a love for the arts in our community.

Warmest regards,

Susan Archibald, Board Director
